Ok, this is pretty damn cool.

This is for sale on ebay, it holds the world record for WORLD'S LARGEST LITE BRITE!

I'm just so entertained by stuff like this.  XD

Oh and...
Question for those of you out there on my flist.  Has anyone ever taken online classes?  I'm looking into a few because I'm having the damndest time trying to find classes that actually fit into my schedule and ones that I wouldn't be stuck in a classroom for 11 hrs on saturdays for the next 6 months.  I found one and the price is right and goes through the local colleges.  But I'd like to know your personal experiences on it.

is set for Saturday evening.  Sorry for those who can't make it, but with the response that I'm getting for announcing this and other ppls  plans/schedules getting in the way, I'm going to make an effort next year to try to put together a caroling thing maybe for a couple times next holiday season.  That and the polyanna and whatever else comes along... *sweat drop*

Anywho, after talking to ppls, it's going to be on saturday evening.  Me and [personal profile] yesod still need to work out what's going on saturday before we can give you a time.  Maybe we'll talk it out this evening and see.  But for now, I'm thinking that we'll be singing from 7-9pm (absolute nothing later than 9).  Then we'll have hot chocolate and cookies and stare at our mesmerizing tree with it's twinkling lights.  XD

BTW - this is just a heads up, but this isn't a stay up all night and play video games or anything kinda night.  But just an evening get-together to spread some xmas joy!

If you have suggestions for carols, please lemme know so I can print a few lyric sheets out so we can all sing along.  :)  Here's some I gathered:

Up on the Housetop
The Christmas Song
Away in a Manger
We Three Kings of Orient Are
We Wish You a Merry Christmas
Oh Holy Night
Silent Night
Jingle Bells
Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer
Angels We Have Heard on High
Deck the Halls
Oh Christmas Tree/Tannenbaum
Oh Little Town of Bethlehem
Oh Come All Ye Faithful
Hark the Herald Angels Sing
Joy to the World
Little Drummer Boy
Jolly Old Saint Nicholas
White Christmas
It Came Upon a Midnight Clear
I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus

If there is anything on this list that you don't know and would like the lyrics, or if there is anything you'd like to add, lemme know.  :)

One other thing, previous times I've done this, occasionally we'll get a monetary donation.  If that happens...which I highly doubt because of today's society, what charity would you like it to go to?  I'm usually up for the American Red Cross or Save the Children.

Dear Santa...

Dear Santa,

This year I've been busy!

Last Friday [livejournal.com profile] xlions_heartx and I donated clothes to the needy (11 points). In November I didn't flush (-1 points). Last Monday I signed my organ donor card (28 points). In September I farted in an elevator (-6 points). In June I helped [livejournal.com profile] eilonnwy across the street (6 points).

Overall, I've been nice (38 points). For Christmas I deserve a new bike!

Sincerely,
gmrgirlx

Granted, I only think about half of that stuff is about right, but I could be wrong. I come off differently to different people. ::shrugs::

Cosplay Emergency Call out to friends going to AUSA!

Does anyone have a pair of combat boots size 6.5 - 7 (womens), 4 - 5 (mens) I could borrow?  I'm trying to get in touch with the person who took mine, but they aren't answering any of my calls/emails/etc.  >.<

AUSA rooms:

Update:
The con room post has been updated.
We have a second room so we can do our things thursday night and still have some room before the con actually hits us.  Katie we now have room for you and friend to put things into the second room.

BTW - I've been trying to find out about the parking situation because what information is out hasn't been confirmed by the hotel for ausa parking discounts.  There are local parking lots, and then there is the hotel valet.  If you use the hotel valet, it's 50% off for Ausa attendees, still trying to find out about this one since the hotel doesn't seem to officially know about it. -.-   Which makes daily parking $11.50.  There are other local lots to use as well, supposedly there is one across the street.

Also plan is to, leave around 6, 2-3 hr drive (depending on traffic since it's also supposed to pour all day tomorrow). -.-  And get there around 8-9.

SPAM: Elitism in Cosplay panel: 4-530 on friday!
Come say Hi to me, Dani, and Joe in artist's alley!
Watch the wonders of Bleach and music on stage at the Masquerade!

::dies::

For those staying thurs night only, would you guys rather have 5 in a room for about $26.50 each or the 10 for $13.50?
Also this means the price for those staying the longer of the weekend will go up about 10...
If you're rooming at any time during this weekend, you also have a say in this.

I am going to cancel the second room probably about 1pm if I don't hear back...

Room prices and when you're staying have been updated on my convention rooming page:

If there are any issues with this lemme know.  I'll bring an airmattress (the good one that doesn't leak)  and please consider bringing extra towels for yourself and pillows and blankets, and be prepared to snuggle!  :)

Because...

MURDER, DEATH, KILL.

Down the street, there were swat teams and police and news channels and news helicopters flying overhead.  Apparently some 20 year old attacked his mother with a hammer and then proceeded to kill his 10 and 6 year old sisters.  Me and [personal profile] yesod went to check it out, hoping to catch a glimpse of what was going on.  Then we decided to wait around to see if we could see the bodies of the children.

It got cold and we realized it would probably be a few more hours for the csi's to do their thing.  But oh well, we talked to several nice people in the meantime.

Here's a link with video of the newstory.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

So, over the weekend, Leader Class Optimus Prime went on sale (like the huge toy version) on toyrus.com, and I went to order it today...

Well, isn't it my luck that it's now unavailable.  :(

Seriously, if anyone comes across a Leader Class or Voyager Class Optimus prime in their toy shopping...cause I know you all spend some time in toy departments when you go to the store.  Hook me up and I'll pay you back!

Well, anyways, I'm reading the Transformers novel (a prequel to the movie).  And as I'm reading and the characters are talking to each other...I just have this vague notion of them actually talking, in gen 1 voices.  So like Jazz is analyzing stuff and all I hear in my head is Scatman Corothers (yeah, the black cook from The Shining, who did the original voice) running through my head giving analysis reports to Optimus Prime.  ::le sigh::

Well, hopefully, I'll get enough Transformers this weekend to knock some sensibilities back into me...that and sugar.  XD

OK, here's what I've been thinking of.  Especially after reading more of the transformers comics.

How did Bonecrusher get his name (even BumbleBee, for that matter) if they've never been to Earth before, and didn't know what humans were since I'm assuming they probably don't call their infrastructures bones (or have bumbleebees on Cybertron). o.O

BTW - wheeee! I gots my transforming movie!!! And if you are unable to get your hands on one, and really want one, I have extras. >.>
Tonite, I'll stop by Walmart to see if I can get my hands on the Peter Cullen double pack.

Wow...who would've thought?

IT WAS ALL HOT ROD'S FAULT!!!!

Bonus points if you have any idea what I'm talking about!  XD

Anywho, reading some stuff, thought it was rather funny. And of course, I wanted to share.

The Witwicky's in the movie, they're inbred. XD
